I'm having a Firefly marathon next month and a friend asked if I could knit a Jayne hat for it. Sure! I said, and then had to hunt down a pattern. After combing the plethora of Jayne Hat patterns on the interwebz (okay, on Ravelry ) I adapted a couple that I liked best and came up with my own slightly modified version of this rather easy hat. While my pattern isn't totally original, it was adapted from other free ones, so I'll include mine here, too, and add to the Legend... Jayne Hat, KiKi's version Set of five US 7 (4.5mm) double-pointed needles Tapestry needle Pom pom maker (optional) 1 skein each worsted weight yarn in red, orange and yellow (I used Lion Brand Vanna's Choice in Scarlet, Terra Cotta and Red Heart Gold). This hat will not use up three skeins; you can probably get a couple of hats out of these. fuzzy, was he?

Endless rows of garter stitch were just what I needed after all that lace... I used up some lovely soft boucle yarn my Mom gave me (from her basement, I think) to make this fuzzable, cuddlable scarf. I wore it out to lunch today and got complimented.
